2011 Scholarship Recipients
Corey Carpenter
Corey is the son of David and Mary Carpenter of Red Bluff. Corey currently attends Modesto Junior College and will be attending CSU, Chico in the fall where he plans to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science and Agriculture Business. His future education objectives are to earn his PhD in Animal Science with an emphasis in Ruminant Nutrition. Corey is active in the MJC Young Farmers & Ranchers and the California Pork Producers Association.
Jamie Carter
Jamie is the daughter of Greg and Stacy Carter of Flournoy. Jamie graduated from Corning High School in 2004 and is continuing her education at CSU, Chico. She has earned her Bachelor's Degree of Science in Agriculture with an option in Education and is in the Credential Program through CSUC. Jamie says that by earning her teaching credential, she will encourage others to explore all the opportunities that the world of agriculture can provide.
Shelby Murphy
Shelby is the daughter of Deacon and Coni Murphy of Los Molinos. She will be graduating from Red Bluff High School in June, and will continue her education at Shasta College in the fall. Shelby hopes to earn her Associates Degree in Equine Sciences, so she can become an Equine Massage Therapist. Shelby has been very active in the Red Bluff FFA, Red Bluff Jr. Roundup and many community events.
Francis Ocampo
Francis is the daughter of
Alejandro and Abelina Ocampo of Los Molinos. She will be graduating from Los Molinos High School in June and plans to continue her education at Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo where she will earn a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture. Francis has been active in the Los Molinos FFA, CSF and sports teams.
