The Tehama County Farm Bureau, Red Bluff Garden Center and Burpee partnered to bring the first Giant Pumpkin Contest to Tehama County. Congratulations to Eddie Boyd of Gerber for having the heaviest giant pumpkin, weighing in at 522 pounds! Stay tuned for photos!

Celebrating 93 years in Tehama County

Tehama County Farm Bureau held it's 93rd Annual Meeting of Members on January 13 at the Corning Veteran's Memorial Hall. Frost Pauli, California Young Farmers & Ranchers Chairman was the featured speaker for the evening. California Farm Bureau President, Paul Wenger updated the attendees on current agriculture issues and the status of CFBF.

Awards were given to community members who have strongly supported TCFB during the 2010 year.

Media Person of the Year - Julie Johnson, Corning Observer
Insurance Agency of the Year - Intermountain Ins. Agency

Tehama County Farm Bureau
Membership

Tehama County Farm Bureau offers three different membership types:

Agricultural - $100 Annually
This membership is for anyone who receives income from farming operations, either as an owner, lessee or employee of a farm or ranch. The right to vote in the organization is limited to this membership class. Some membership benefits are also limited to agricultural members involved in production agriculture. Agricultural members receive the weekly California Farm Bureau publication Ag Alert and the monthly Tehama County Farm Bureau publication Tehama County Farm Bureau News.

Associate - $72 Annually
This membership is for anyone NOT engaged in production agriculture who would still like to join and participate in the member savings programs, while supporting agriculture. Not only do these members save money, but they can feel good about supporting an organization that protects family farming in California. Associate members receive the monthly Tehama County Farm Bureau publication Tehama County Farm Bureau News and the bi-monthly California Farm Bureau publication California Country.

Business - $125 Annually
The business membership category is for either Agricultural or Associate members. It offers additional benefits, such as free listing in our business directory in our monthly newsletter and discounted advertising rates. New business members also receive one free business-card sized ad in our newsletter. Business members also receive the opportunity to be highlighted in our Business Spotlight section of our newsletter.
